[...] Heath Wonk Review is up… Posted on January 25th, 2007 in Fetch Blogs by The_Prof (H G Stern, LUTCF) Found this week at the Health Affairs Blog. Hostess Jane Hiebert-White presents some 20 entries, with interesting and helpful commentary on each and every one (I like that!). Something I’d never even thought about is Worker’s Comp issues for our countryment deployed to Iraq. FoIB Julie Ferguson has the inside scoop. [...]

[...] Check out the new issue of Health Wonk Review at the Health Affairs Blog. A number of bloggers are talking about various health reform proposals and the President’s State of the Union Address, as you might expect; my recent post on the ACP proposal is in there. I’m excited to see that there’s an interview with Brent James of Intermountain Health Care, one of the leaders in translating research into practice. [...]

I am a licensed health insurance agent, but am as frustrated with the system as my clients. I also have the same issues they have when trying - as a self employed person - to keep my family's health protected without having to skip groceries! I don't enjoy having to give my cliets the option of rediculously high deductibles without doctor and lab copays so that premium payment can fit into their budgets reasonably. Yes, I am explaining reality, but I see that glazed look in their eyes, and I am not insensitive to the fact that my explanations are not satisfying to them. They don't satisfy me either. They are just reality.

If you'd like more of the 'poop' on health insurance, I'd like to invite you to visit my blog -

[...] I posted on the President’s comments about health care reform, in the State of The Union Address, a few days ago, and now HealthWonk has also weighed in. So if you believe the president’s words gave you hope, or if they made you want to start a fight, you can find company on the various blogger opinions posted there. [...]
