Joshua M. Wiener, PhD, is a senior researcher at RTI International. With more than 40 years of experience as a researcher and policy analyst, he has conducted research on long-term care, quality assurance systems, international health care systems, Medicaid, Medicare, and health reform. Dr. Wiener is co-director of the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center. He led the development of the first comprehensive long-term care microsimulation model in the United States. Prior to coming to RTI International, Dr. Wiener did policy analysis and research for the Urban Institute, the Brookings Institution, the Department of Health and Human Services, and other federal, state, and local government agencies.
