Marjorie A. Innocent, PhD, is the senior director of health programs at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She leads the development and management of the NAACP’s agenda to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes for African Americans and other communities of color. She also works to advance public discourse about the intersection of health and other social issues impacting populations of color.
