Tim McDonald is a senior fellow at the Center for Policy Design and previously worked as a research associate at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. His research focuses on public policy design methods for large systems, and their application to socially important systems such as health, education, and the economy. His current research includes assessing and developing incentive-based policy solutions for the U.S. health care system. McDonald has an M.P.P. in business and government from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in political science from Hamline University.
