Katharine (Kate) McLaughlin is the communications director at the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York, an independent private foundation based in Buffalo, NY with a second office in Syracuse, NY.
As communications director, she leads strategic communications efforts to advance the mission of the Health Foundation and support and promote a wide variety of foundation activities and initiatives, including Aging by Design, Health Leadership Fellows and StoryGrowing.
Before joining the Health Foundation, Kate served as public information officer at Erie Community College and as editor of the Cheektowaga Bee newspaper.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from St. Bonaventure University.
