Doctor Eric Schoomaker, MD, PhD, Lieutenant General, U.S. Army (Retired) is the Professor and Vice-Chair for Leadership, Centers and Programs in the department of Military and Emergency Medicine at the Uniformed Services University (USU) with oversight of the Defense & Veterans Center for Integrative Pain Management (DVCIPM). He is the 42nd Army Surgeon General and former Commanding General of the U.S. Army Medical Command.
